Manhattan is ranked as the #1 city to NYE and is watched by over 1 billion people from all over. As we welcome in 2022, artists including AJR, Daisy the Great, Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, Sleepy Brown, Don Omar and French Montana will all perform live before the ball drop in Times Square.
The digital wall of wishes (#confettiwishes) will be displayed for all to see when the ball drops. To attend the live event, you must have ID and proof of vaccination. For anyone watching from home, you can join in live @6pm on http://timessquareball.netor http://timessquarenyc.org.
Want to catch the sunrise going out of 2021 and into 2022? Sandy Hook Beach is the perfect location for it. Known for it’s accessibility and amenities, it’s a great option for the night. You can enjoy their lighthouses, the Maritime Museum, or just enjoy the beautiful views. It’s an easy drive down the shore during this time of year, but it’s also accessible by ferry!
Ocean City is also a great option for a sunrise getaway. A Korean company is offering an “Ocean City New Year’s Sunrise” tour with breakfast for just $120. Hamilton Park in Weehawken is also a popular sunrise location. If you don’t want to travel to far and want to overlook the city scape, then this is the spot for you.
The Spirit of New Jersey Cruise company is offering a New Year’s Eve cruise! After boarding at 9pm, enjoy a dinner buffet overlooking the city skyline. The countdown will be held right by the Statue of Liberty with fireworks to welcome in the new year. Six Flags Great Adventure is hosting a fireworks event on the 31st during their “Holiday in the Park” event. It will begin at 9pm in the Main Street Christmas area.
A fireworks display will be on the Atlantic City boardwalk, hosted by The Tropicana Hotel. If you are in the area or want to take a trip, the show will begin at 9pm and there will be a live broadcast of the Times Square Ball Drop
