Story 1

Things escalate for the students of Cresskill Middle and High School after the effects of Hurricane Ida left them learning remotely. Students are still participating remotely after 3 months due to the city’s neglect to begin restoration on the school buildings. The schools need serious restoration that has yet to begin. In hopes of change, families rallied in front of the Governor’s residence to fight for the 1,000+ students who are unable to return to in-person learning.

Story 2

Great news! The NY Winter Jazz Festival is coming back in person for the first time in 2 years! It begins January 13th and ends January 22nd. Visit this amazing festival in Manhattan to see performances from more than 500 solo musicians and 100 groups. Story 3

If you’re looking to be an overseas absentee voter for Korea, you have until January 8th to apply. The voting period is between February 23rd and February 28th, 2022. Check qualifications to see if you’re eligible for an overseas absentee ballot before it’s too late!

Story 4

The Lantern Safari experience is ongoing and awaiting your visit! Experience the light show of a lifetime at the Bronx Zoo this holiday season. At the event you’ll see 260 animal lanterns, 30 of which are new this year. You’ll even find a new course entitled Fantasy Forest! This spectacular light show runs from now until January 9th, 2022. Tickets for adults are $40, children $25. Purchases should be made in advance at the Bronx Zoo website before spots fill up! Take the family for a fun winter adventure this holiday season.

Story 5

NY Waterway Ferries are running a program from now until January 2nd where children ride for free! All you have to do is purchase one adult ticket and you may bring up to 2 children under the age of 12 for free.  If you’re planning on visiting Manhattan this holiday season, consider this as an alternative mode of transportation. It’s a great opportunity to save on tolls and parking that you don’t want to miss.

Story 6

World-famous saxophonist Kenny G is having a concert THIS weekend at Bergenpak in Englewood, NJ. His performance, entitled The Miracles of Holidays & Hits Tour, will be in town on Saturday, Dec 18th at 8pm. Tickets range from $39-$99 and can be purchased through the Ticketmaster website.
